Have you ever thought that it would be great to access the contents of your dry bag during your swim? Imagine being able to pull out a water bottle, a tasty snack or a camera out of your dry pouch while you are in the water away from shore. With the regular safety buoy it is not possible to open the dry compartment while you swim without getting water inside, however, the Grab Bag Donut 360swim SaferSwimmer™ has the dry bag on top, so it is designed just for this purpose.
It features an inflatable donut-shaped compartment and a conveniently accessible dry bag which can be opened while you swim. The Grab Bag donut float will provide you with an additional support if you need to rest during your swim. Furthermore, with its bright color, it will serve you with an outstanding visibility in the water, so boats, jet skis, windsurfers and other fast moving water traffic will know where you swim and will stay clear from your area. And since the donut buoy is more stable on the water, you can also attach your GoPro or another action camera to record your swim without toppling it over.
This type of buoy is also popular among paddleboarders and kayakers. So if you are for example into standup paddle boarding (SUPing), then you can tie the buoy behind your board and easily access any contents mid-journey. Or if you are not into any of that stuff and would rather lounge around in your swimming pool, you can keep your drinks cool inside the buoy :).
What can I fit inside?
- Medium - a small towel, a water bottle, flip flops or sandals, a t-shirt, valuables (wallet, keys, phone), or a small camera
Note: If you are still unsure which size to get, I'd suggest the most popular model (Large) or just contact me and I'll do my best to help you choose. The XL and XXL models are only available with the more robust Heavy-Duty 360swim SaferSwimmer™.
How to use it?
It is quite straightforward. Just inflate the buoy by blowing into the valve and then tightly twist the valve to close it. Then you are ready to put your stuff inside the dry bag (ex: towel, water bottle, camera, valuables, energy bar, sunglasses etc.). Prevent your kit from being stolen or use it while you swim. Note: it is highly recommended to put your electronics into an extra layer of protection such as a ziplock bag as you never know what can happen). Wrap it up to make a watertight seal (fold over 4 times). Snap the belt around your waist and go for an enjoyable swim. When you get tired, just grab the float, lay on your back, keep it pressed against your chest and relax while you float around. If you would like to access your kit from inside the dry bag while you are in the water, just unwrap the dry bag seal and take out whichever item you desire. If you do not need a storage compartment, you should check out the Tow Float.
